5 Unusual Barriers Between You And Losing Stubborn Belly Fat

I'm not going to tell you to eat less food and exercise more; you've probably already tried this and know it doesn't always result in you losing weight. I am going to show you 5 barriers that you can easily fix right not and to lose some weight.

Barrier 1:
Air Conditioning - It may feel more comfortable to be in an air conditioned office or house, but research shows that people who spend long periods of time in air-conditioned rooms gain weight much more rapidly than those who don't. The reasons why are still a mystery, but whatever the theories, I would minimize your exposure to air-conditioning.

Barrier 2:
Fluorescent Lighting - When I taught in classrooms with countless fluorescent lights I always felt so drained after class was over. I would go outside and feel slightly shocked to discover what the weather was like outside. I had no clue if it was going to be raining and overcast or hot and sunny. Florescent lighting is responsible for chemical reactions in the brain that cause you to become fatigued and depressed. When people are depressed their food cravings spike. Florescent lighting also negatively affects the cells of your body by lowering your metabolism and suppressing your immune system.

Barrier 3:
Breath - Have you ever noticed how babies breathe? Although they breathe more rapidly than adults, they take deep breaths in and out. If you are reading this then you are breathing, but most likely only to some extent. Most people don't take deep, full breathes and therefore are deficient in oxygen. The main reason for this is because people are STRESSED! We are more stressed now on a daily basis than ever before. Several studies have shown that when overweight people did no other form of diet or exercise, and only deep breathing for 10 minutes, two times a day, they lost weight! Why you wonder? More oxygen in your body increases your metabolism, releases good hormones that help alleviate depression, and lowers your appetite. Lack of oxygen in your body is bad for you. If you don't have enough oxygen you become much more susceptible to disease. Taking in deep breathes for 10 minutes a day can easily be done during your morning commute, while you watch TV or are sitting in front of your computer. Barrier 4:
Prescription and Non-Prescription Drugs - All over the counter and prescription drugs of any kind are proven to add to weight gain. Not only do they lead to weight gain, even common medications have been proven to be major contributing factors to illness and disease. Even the drug manufacturers state on their labels that unless you are under the supervision of a health care provider that you should avoid non-prescription and prescription drugs. Yikes! In the 1960s less than 5% of people took any medication on a regular basis, while today more than 70% do! If you take medications for such aliments as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, chronic pain etc. There are many more effective ways to naturally cure your aliments.

Barrier 5:
Fiber - This is an easy one. Anyone can add fiber to their diet. Fiber helps speed up weight loss exceptionally well. It relieves constipation, improves digestion, helps rid the body of toxins, helps increase energy, reduces your appetite and helps flush out years of unhealthy food choices. Stop in at your local health food store for a good fiber blend, one with oat bran, flax and acacia.
